El Chilito began over 25 years ago in the coastal town of Port Hueneme, founded by our family with a simple mission: to share the true flavors of Mexico through fresh ingredients, authentic recipes, and a whole lot of heart. What started as a humble local eatery has grown into a refined culinary brand — one that respects its roots while striving for excellence with every dish.
Today, El Chilito remains proudly family-run, led by me — a new-generation CEO with a deep passion for Mexican cuisine and a bold vision for growth. Together with my family, we’re working to expand El Chilito into something even greater, while staying true to the values that built it.
At the core of everything we do is quality. We source only the freshest, highest-grade ingredients and prepare everything in-house, daily — from our richly seasoned birria and vibrant salsas to handmade tortillas and delicious seafood.
